Reimagining the Air Travel Experience

Overview
Live Well was asked by Boeing to imagine, “What does the perfect door-to-door air travel experience look like?” The possibilities are limitless considering the scope of the question. Additionally, Boeing requested Live Well to consider any and all aspects of the air travel experience that could potentially be improved.

This studio is an extension of Live Well’s first air–travel studio, Understanding the Future Traveler. While the first studio established a foundation of research that identified unique attributes of today’s travelers, this 15–week studio sought to envision what the ideal passenger experience could look like for future travelers, five to ten years out.

The Challenge
Today’s travelers face many challenges that inhibit them from having their ideal experience. From booking travel online to making their way through security, the problems can be endless. The Live Well team identified and ideated around a broad set of potential opportunities.

The Results
The students came up with a series of solutions intended to provide a seamless experience for travelers. The solutions were integrated into a single video to illustrate this ideal trip. The concepts incorporate a variety of touch points across the passenger’s journey, from the moment they arrive at the airport to the time they land at their final destination.
